   INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING

The psychotherapy definition of addiction counseling refers to talk therapy. This sort of therapy takes place between a client and therapist or between a group of clients and a therapist. It serves several purposes, including identifying poor coping skills and replacing them with healthier recovery behaviors. In general, psychotherapy is vital to recovery for those in treatment for substance use disorder,

Chain Breaker also provides individual counseling for other addiction issues. This could be gambling, shopping, food, etc. Too much of anything can be harmful but we can find balance in all areas.

   GROUP COUNSELING, IOP & OP

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) are treatment programs used to address addictions, depression, eating disorders, or other dependencies that do not require detoxification or round-the-clock supervision. They enable patients to continue with their normal, day-to-day lives in a way that residential treatment programs do not.

Chain Breaker provides non-residential, intensive, structured interventions that focus on substance related and co-occurring issues. Chain Breaker offers Intensive Outpatient Groups, and Outpatient Groups.

Outpatient Therapy is the next step after Intensive Outpatient. These groups are  client focused and are an important part of the recovery process.

  SUBSTANCE ABUSE EVALUATIONS

The main purpose of a chemical dependency evaluation is to determine which therapies and treatments will work best for a person who needs help recovering from a substance use disorder.

A chemical dependency evaluation determines whether an individual is physically dependent on drugs or alcohol and identifies which substances are being used. It also assesses the severity of a substance use disorder and the extent to which it has affected the person’s life.

Drug and alcohol abuse affects each person differently based on factors such as age, the type of substances being used, the amount being used, and whether the person also suffers from a co-occurring mental health disorder.

A chemical dependency evaluation evaluates the person’s whole health and scope of the substance use disorder so the right treatments can be provided.
